My mother immigrated to the United States at 35 to pursue a PhD and later brought our family here through years of perseverance. Now at 50, she sometimes says she is no longer beautiful. Through this portrait, I wanted to capture the beauty I see in her—one shaped by courage, sacrifice, and the enduring strength of family."
